Dow Showcased Innovative Range of Adhesives for Tapes and Labels at LABELEXPO ASIA 2017

      Dow Performance Silicones recently exhibited at LabelExpo Asia 2017. The company showcased its portfolio of differentiated high-value solutions under the theme “Reliability in Every Innovation". Dow addressed the latest technology advancements across the pressure sensitive industries which are driving demand for PSA solutions suitable for challenging paper and film label applications and industrial after-market screen protection.

      Silicone & Acrylic Adhesives for Protective Film

     Dow Performance Silicones featured at LABELEXPO 2017 a comprehensive portfolio of PSAs for protective films used throughout the lifecycle of electronic devices. 

    Dow silicone PSAs deliver significant advantages for such applications, including better wet-out and heat resistance; more-stable adhesion and anchorage over time to prevent migration; greater optical clarity (non-yellowing); cleaner removal without residues; and easier repositioning. 

     For instance, Dow Corning® 7666 Adhesive is a low-adhesion, solvent-less, platinum-cure PSA designed specifically for protective films used in processing and assembly of electronic devices. It offers highly stable adhesion control and cost-effectiveness, and can be used together with mid- to high-adhesion PSAs such as Dow Corning® 7657 Adhesives and Dow Corning® 7667 Adhesives.

   The latest additions to the Dow ROBOND™ acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives portfolio suitable for challenging labelling applications such as beverage, personal care or pharma were also featured at the event.

    These solutions offer excellent adhesion on a broad variety of substrates; superior water whitening resistance; high transparency, suitable for a "no label" look; and improved processing technology and application speed.
